hard-boiled eggs to new heights by embellishing them with lacy and cheesy patterns.
Once the eggs are dyed and dry, pile them in a large bowl to use them as a
centerpiece. Later take them out for a
family egg hunt in the yard.
Tools and Materials:
Vinegar

Standard egg dye (McCormick NEON!)
Rubber bands
Lace trimmings
Cheese cloth
Scissors
cheese cloth into strips long enough to wrap around eggs and still have extra
to wind like a tootsie roll for holding.

package instructions. Once they have soaked long enough lift out, cut off
rubber bands, and unwrap lace. Let dry on curved surface such as empty fruit
cup turned upside down. Del Monte is our
favorite brand for fruit cups.
instructions are from the familiar McCormick NEON food coloring you can find in
any grocery store. Each below will cover
two eggs at a time, you can either double the ingredients or let a third egg
soak just a bit longer. They should soak
for five minutes or longer. Then you
need to flip them and let them soak again for five minutes or longer.

The
top row is cheese cloth and the bottom row is lace. To add sheen to your eggs wipe them with vegetable oil. My daughter loved them. However, this is what will happen if you
allow your toddler to help you with dying eggs before they are hard boiled.
