Despicable Me2 Get it Now!

When Despicable Me2 was released in theaters back in July 2013, my family could not get to the theater fast enough! We absolutely loved the first Despicable Me! Dr. Gru along with his adorable girls and his crazy minion friends-we waited in anticipation to see what they came up with this time!

Get ready for more Minion madness in Despicable Me 2. Chris Meledandri and his acclaimed filmmaking team create an all-new comedy adventure featuring the return of (former?) super-villain Gru (Steve Carell), his adorable girls, the unpredictably hilarious Minions…and a host of new and outrageously funny characters.

What’s the story?

Retired supervillain Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) lives happily with his three girls — Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier), and Agnes (Elsie Kate Fisher) — their trusty minions, and Dr. Nefario (Russell Brand), who’s developing a line of jams and jellies for the family to sell. Then one day, a mysterious woman named Lucy (Kristen Wiig) kidnaps Gru and takes him to the underwater headquarters of the Anti-Villain League, where director Silas Ramsbottom (Steve Coogan) explains that a dangerous bioweapon that can turn living creatures into purple killing machines has been stolen by a supervillain whom they believe is hiding at the Paradise Mall. The AVL wants Gru to infiltrate the mall and find out which shop owner has plans for world domination. Gru reluctantly agrees and poses as a cupcake baker, with Lucy his partner. Gru suspects the mall’s Mexican restaurant owner, Eduardo (Benjamin Bratt), but becomes irrational when Margo falls for Eduardo’s smooth-talking son, Antonio (Moises Arias). Meanwhile, Agnes desperately wants Gru to fall in love with Lucy so she’ll have a mother, and the minions keep disappearing. Gru must once again the save the day, with the girls at his side.

Our family really loved this second movie! The kids favorite part was when the Minions were cast away on an island, and they would show fun shots of them from time to time playing on the beach and swimming!

I will warn you-the Minions turn scary at the end of the movie along with the villain…my kids were scared when we watched this part in the theater, but now that we own it, it seems to not bother them. Overall they laugh and giggle the whole time!

Until we moved to the country we never had an issue with dropped calls on our cell phones. So when I was offered the chance to review Panasonic’s new Link2Cell (KX-TG787x Series) I jumped at the chance. I have been reading about such technology, but haven?t taken the plunge.
Their Link2Cell technology allows you to make and receive cell phone calls on your home handset. Link2Cell is compatible with Androids, iPhones, and Blackberries.

My husband has never cared for the land line EVER!! He only got a land line so that he could reach me when he needed me. Now that I have programed our handset to receive his cell phone calls he gets quite upset when he can?t find the house phone. My husband has his own business, and it is imperative that he is able to hear his clients when they call.

One of the best features of this phone is that you can block up to 250 UNWANTED NUMBERS!!! Not sure if you have a problem with telemarketers, but we sure do. The phone even has a silent mode for nighttime!

Now that you have connected your cell phones to your home handset you can use your shared phonebook. No more unwanted cords to charge your cell phone just plug it into your cell phone base unit. At our house we have power cords in the middle of our living room to charge devices!
I highly recommend this cordless phone system to anyone that relies on their cell phones.

Limited Time Holiday Treats at Sonic!

We all know that sweets come with the holidays and if we’re lucky, we can catch the limited time goodies that come out once winter blows in! Sonic has come out with a delicious new treat to add to their list of holiday goodies, Cheesecake Bites! These are warm little pops of creamy cheesecake wrapped in graham cracker, fried in a sweet crust and dipped in Strawberry Sauce to top it off!

My husband and I took the boys to pick up Shakes and Cheesecake Bites. They have a new Vanilla and Chocolate Holiday Mint Shake available as well! I love how they have Happy Hours when you can drive-in and get 1/2 off their Drink or Frozen Stations and unlike most places, their selections seem completely endless. We picked up our treats and drove around looking at Christmas Lights. It was beautiful and a fun family moment.

My teen liked the Cheesecake Bites the best and it was hard to get him away from them! I have to admit that the warm cheesecake was different at first because I’m so used to cold cheesecake, but honestly? Cheesecake is cheesecake no matter how you slice it and I love cheesecake. The crispy outer shell had a sweet crunch and dipping it into the Strawberry Sauce gave it an extra sugary sweet kick! If you want to try something really great, try dipping them in your shake! The warm Cheesecake Bites with the cold ice-cream is heaven.

Jijamas Offers the Ultimate Softness in Pajamas

I love pajamas. Working at home and at a desk, I spend more time in pajama pants or lounge pants than I spend out of them. Comfort is key, right? I swear, I get more done that way! I recently had the chance to review a pair of pajamas from Jijamas and I chose The Therapist in Grey. But before I get into that, I have to share how the name “Jijamas” came to be. You see the name comes from parent entrepreneurs, Gustavo and Courtney Sanchez’s children – who couldn’t pronounce pajamas and instead called them jijamas instead!

I chose this particular style because I loved the stripe top with plain bottoms. They feature 100% high-end Pima Cotton and a drawstring elastic waistband. I was immediately impressed with the softness of these pajamas as soon as my package arrived and I opened it. It felt like I was touching super soft baby pajamas instead of a grown up pair!

Once I tried my The Therapist in Grey Jijamas on, I was even more smitten. This one pair of pajamas is by far the most comfortable pair of pajamas I’ve owned in my life. The fabric is like no other and the softness is unmatched in any other pair I own. I could wear these 24/7!

Aside from The Therapist, there are other styles of Jijamas to choose from as well. I will definitely be purchasing another color for myself once the holidays are over and I’m allowed to splurge on myself again!
