New Summer Style for Moms at Kohl’s

As a mom, my style always seems to be neglected. I always glace at the women’s clothes when I’m shopping, but rarely enter because I’m shopping for something or someone else at the time. I’m sure many of you can relate. That’s why I was excited to get a new look from Kohl’s.

I swear I spent hours browsing their website, trying to find the perfect outfit. I came across so many that I liked, it was really hard to choose just one! In the end, I ended up with the Candie’s? Beaded Camisole, Apt. 9? Embellished Cuffed Denim Capris and NaturalSoul by naturalizer Calico Slide Sandals.

I was so excited for my new outfit to arrive, I could barely contain myself.I was looking forward to wearing it to our friend’s granddaughter’s birthday party. Apparently, I did gain a few pounds over the winter, so I had to exchange the Capris for a larger size. I just went to my local store and did a quick exchange that took less than 5 minutes – easy peasy!

Overall, I am quite happy with my outfit. The capris fit nicely after I got the correct size. I do need to lose some pounds still, but of course it takes time.

I just adore the NaturalSoul by naturalizer Calico Slide Sandals. They’re quite comfortable and stylish too. I took a walk around our neighborhood in them the other day and my feet didn’t hurt one bit afterward!

If you’re on the search for a new look this summer, I highly recommend Kohl’s. Whether you shop in store or online, you’re sure to find something that you’ll love!

When looking for infant toys you want to make sure
that they have bright colors, lots of patterns, different textures, and plenty
of noise makers!! I love the new
Lilliputiens, a world full of little wonders baby line exclusively sold in the U.S. by HABA. This delightful line of small, fairytale
rattles, puppets and squeakers were created by young mothers. Safety is their priority, and each toy
undergoes a series of tests to obtain a certification of quality. Each toy
comes with its own story, and they are made by hand in Asia.

When selecting my Lilliputien I wanted to find something
boyish. How much more boy can you get
than a TOAD!! I received Romeo The Well Fed Toad to
review. What a cutie! He entertained my 7 and 3 year old for
days. My toddler took him with her
everywhere! He’s a bit larger than I
expected, but he has a nifty handle that makes it easy to carry around the
house.

Romeo
the Well Fed Frog:

Romeo is this huge oversized toad! A child can develop their senses while
playing with Romeo. He is made of a variety of patterns and textures. His textures are bumpy, lumpy, soft, smooth,
and fuzzy, and his patterns are simple and busy. A child will sit for hours touching the
fabrics. His colors are made up of
complimentary colors in various shades of green and red. A child will discover all sorts of sounds
while playing with Romeo. His eyes crinkle, hands crinkle and rattle, and his
feet crinkle and ribbit. He came with four little creatures that fit inside
his mouth: a fish (squeaks), crab (rattles), octopus (jingles), and fly
(crinkles). Once they are all inside his
mouth they do not fall out, my daughter was putting everything she could find
in it. Below his mouth is a mirror that
will also entertain your child.

He came in an easy to clear zipped bag that can be
used to store Romeo or whatever else you may want to keep sealed. The only thing you have to cut is his tag, no
zip ties!

Romeo the Well Fed Toad is an excellent toy for
developmental skills. Not only is your
child learning about different senses, they will also be developing their hand
eye coordination by putting objects inside the mouth of Romeo.

Fragrance Junkies – Get Your AirWick Fix at Sam's Club

I need the larger packages as I have 4 warmers throughout my house and like to create the same scent in each room just so that they do not clash. The National Park scents are exclusive to AirWick, but only available for a limited time. Setting the Scented Oil and Warmers up is super easy too. You just twist off the cap of the oil, insert it in the warmer until you hear a “click” and voila, done!

Ditch Paper Products to be “Green” and Save Green

It’s no secret that I use cloth diapers. Every time I change a diaper, I am thrilled that I’m not throwing a quarter+ in the trash, like I was when I used disposables. I quickly realized that I was still throwing money away with paper products, and I put a stop to it, saving me money and being more environmentally friendly at the same time.

If you’re like me, you do a lot of wiping of hands, faces, counters & more every day. Instead of using paper products, use cloth you can wash & reuse!

The usual suspects:

1. Napkins

2. Paper Towels

You can get beautiful cloth napkins (I have princess napkins for my daughter’s lunch box!) but cheap wash cloths work just as well. If you buy white, you can bleach them as needed to sanitize and whiten.

You can find “unpapertowels” in lots of pretty prints, you can even find “paper towel houses” or towels that snap to each other and go on a paper towel holder. You can cut flour sack towels and sew the edges (or just use them as-is.)

When you find yourself reaching for a paper towel, grab a hand towel, wash cloth, or microfiber towel instead. Switching to Norwex cloths has saved me even more since they clean with just water, and I’m no longer buying granite, stainless, cooktop and other cleaners.

Keep your cloths in a convenient place so you can grab them easily, and consider a hanging wet bag to easily set aside used cloths for laundering. If your family is still grabbing the paper products, hide them! We have paper towels on hand for really yucky clean ups, and if they are on the counter guests will use them to dry their hands! It kills me to see 3 paper towels trashed after drying clean hands!

Change cloths often (I use many per day) to keep things clean & germ-free.

Some families even use “family cloth” in lieu of toilet paper, but we do not. It’s not a huge leap from cloth wipes though!

Just yesterday we had some of the kettlecorn during one of our movie nights. So tasty and just enough sweetness to make it the perfect snack.

Pick up a bag and try it for yourself. All the ones I have tried are super tasty and they would make a great addition to any 4th of July parties you might be having or attending. Don’t forget they are all natural and gluten free too!
