This book would be especially great for kids that have not fully transitioned to chapter books but don’t want to read “baby” books anymore. Each page is full of two color illustrations (shades of red and black) but there is still a full story with plot to enjoy. My 8 year old thinks this book is hilarious and more than once I have found it in her school backpack where only her favorites go. Olga uses science to study a creature she finds in her garbage can one day. This book is part of the growing trend to show kids science is cool. Seeing this is volume 1 I can’t wait to read future books in the series!
