They are currently a start-up company and they are gearing up for a Kickstarter campaign in August to
raise money to have their current kits to be professionally
assembled and packaged. They want it to be as easy as possible for parents to introduce early Math
and
Science at home by eliminating the prep work. You can either sign up now and get the same kit in a regular box but with some special goodies to help them by giving feedback or you can wait till the Kickstarter is up and running and you can order their professionally packaged kits. Either way you decide just sign up soon to empower your child in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math!
I am a firm believer that most learning starts at home. Therefore I am always reading to my girls, playing educational games and I try and set up learning situations at home. I am not the most creative person in the world so I am always looking for products to get that makes learning at home as much fun as possible. Since a lot of girls tend to shy away from math and science as they get older I am especially motivated to get them interested in it while they are still young. STEMpowerkids is a monthly subscription box that brings Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to your door and making it tons of FUN!
This monthly box subscription is geared for kids ages 3 and up, to be explored with a parent, to cultivate stronger roots in STEM. Each box contains 4 or more STEM activities, such as cool science experiments, engineering challenges, or math games to promote your child’s curiosity, creativity, comfort – and ability in STEM!
They send you all of the materials, along with easy to follow instructions. Their team of STEM professionals and early childhood education experts develop the “bite-sized” lesson plans and activities. All I needed was a giant glass of water and we were good to go.
I actually enjoyed doing all the experiments right along side her. It was fun and she was smiling and enjoying herself the whole time. I was constantly asking her questions as we were working to get her mind gears spinning. She loved getting the answers right and if she did not know the correct answer I would tell her what it was and I could see that she was genuinely interested in remembering so she would know for next time.
