It’s college football season and I’m always looking for new Game day food ideas for my guys to munch on. Big Bro and I found these cool Jell-O University Molds featuring the Wisconsin Badgers when we were at Walmart earlier this week. I knew they’d be just perfect for our tailgating spread, and I even had an idea that was a little outside the box.
These guys love Jell-O, and they love pudding too. So I thought it would be fun to mix them up into a frozen treat. I followed the directions for the Jell-O Jigglers and made 2 boxes. I sprayed the mold with cooking spray, then poured straight Jell-O into one of the Go Badgers Jell-O Jigglers molds and poured the rest into a glass baking dish. Next, I stuck them each in the refrigerator for 3 hours to form.
When they were finally set, I took the Jell-O Jigglers out of the mold, set them on a plate, covered and returned to the refrigerator for later. Now it was time to work on my project and hope that it turned out!
I made some vanilla pudding, then cut the Jell-O into small little squares, about 1/2″ in size.
The molds are quite small, so you want to make sure they’re small enough so that you can fit a few into each mold.
Now the fun part begins! I placed a small dollop of pudding into each mold, tossed in a chunk of Jell-O and repeated those steps another time. Once the molds were all full, I topped each off with more pudding, then stuck the mold into the freezer for a couple of hours. This was going to be a frozen treat!
Once they were frozen, I put them on a plate and served them alongside the other tailgating goodies. We had cheese and sausage, chips, salsa and Three Cheese Pepperoncini Dip, Go Badgers Jell-O Jigglers and Go Badgers Vanilla Pudding and Strawberry Jell-O Jigglers.
It was quite the spread and everyone really enjoyed it. The Jell-O Jigglers were a hit and Go Badgers Vanilla Pudding and Strawberry Jell-O Jigglers were especially tasty! We’ll definitely be mixing things up and making these again. However, I will do pudding on the entire bottom, then layer in Jell-O, only because you can see the design on the mold better that way!
