I was not your average “girly girl” growing up. In fact, I’m still not! Sure I played will dolls and all that fun stuff, but I liked building stuff the best. LEGO? blocks were my favorite to play with and I’d make little villages, animals, you name it. I’d always make that one thing that I was so proud of and my mom would put it up on the bookshelf to display with all of her pretty knick-knacks. My love for LEGO passed on to my boys as well and they had so much fun building everything from buildings and towers to jets and boats. LEGO? sure has come a long way since I was a kid!
I’m still quite smitten with the LEGO brand and was very excited to hear that the LEGO? Americana Roadshow is coming to the Milwaukee area! It’ll be at Mayfair Mall from June 13-28 and the kids are super excited to check it out next week. Okay, I might be a little excited too! There will beLEGO models throughout the mall that are larger than life and we’ll even get to check out iconic building and architectural structure replicas.
At theLEGO Americana Roadshow, you’ll be able to see featured landmarks like the U.S. Capitol Building, White House, Supreme Court, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Statue of Liberty, Independence Hall and Old North Church. These were all built by LEGO? Master Builders who will be entertaining fans with stunning visuals and fun facts. If you visit on 6/20/2015 – 6/21/2015 between noon – 4pm, you can build a mini version of the LEGO? Jefferson Memorial to take home with you at no charge – how fun! That will be taking place on the Lower Level Boston Store Wing of Mayfair Mall.
TheLEGO Americana Roadshow is a great event to check out with the entire family. It’s perfect forLEGO fans young and old, but also gives a great educational insight into the history of America. You can check out the map to find?all LEGO? Americana locations in Mayfair Mall. You can even end your visit at theLEGO store on the upper level of the mall!
LEGO? has shares a very educational lesson plan for teachers to share with their students. These plans can help to teach American History and encourage?civics discussions, all inspired by aLEGO brick.
