It is August and even though there are a few weeks of summer break left I am already into back-to-school mode. My baby is off to preschool while my oldest is off to 2nd grade. I can hardly believe both mine will be in school this year! My youngest especially is excited to get into a school routine, make new friends and learn new stuff. To get us all into the mindset of learning here are some awesome picture books from HarperCollins Children’s Books that will put everyone into the mood for school.
Otter Goes to School written and illustrated by Sam Garton for ages 4 to 8. Hi! I am Otter. This is about the time I started my own school for Teddy, Giraffe, and the rest of my friends. We had a great teacher and did lots of fun things together . . . until Teddy said he didn?t like school anymore. Luckily, Otter Keeper came to the rescue and taught us the best lesson of all!
Lola Knows a Lot written by Jenna McCarthy and illustrated by Sara Palacios for ages 4 to 8. Meet Lola! Lola knows a lot. She can cartwheel. She can tie her shoes. She can make her sister crazy. The only thing Lola DOESN?T know? Is if she’s really ready to go to school.

How To Eat an Airplane written by Peter Pearson and illustrated by Mircea Catusanu for ages 4 to 8.
