Yesterday was Family Day at the Milwaukee Country Zoo, so a bunch of us decided to go. I thought it would be fun since I haven’t been there in 2 years, and the man hasn’t been there in even longer! Luckily the kids did get to go last year with my parents though.
We got up at 8:30, pretty early for me for a Saturday. I like to sleep in ya know! I got ready, got the kids up and ready and we took off. We were all meeting at the man’s aunt’s house, so we stopped there first. Then we went on our journey, freeway bound. Boy was that a MISTAKE! Traffic was fine. That is until we were almost to the off ramp. Then traffic in our lane came to a COMPLETE stop. We barely moved. We were stuck for 1 1/2 hours in that traffic because the zoo traffic was that backed up. There were almost so many accidents because people were trying to get to the front of the crowd. It was ridiculous! I have never seen so many assholes in my life! This one lady was actually screaming at someone out here window {while blocking the next lane’s traffic} and moved up to start screaming at more! I’m surprised someone didn’t get out and beat her ass, she totally deserved it.
We finally got sick of waiting and got out of the traffic lane, turned around and parked in a parking lot about 7 or 8 blocks from the zoo entrance. So we walked the rest of the way and met up with family and friends that were already there, lucky them! We walked around, looked at some animals, ate lunch and went home. It was such a beautiful day out yesterday, a perfect day to be outside! Here’s some pictures!
