Summer has finally arrived and we couldn’t be more excited! The weather’s nice and lots of fun is to be had. That’s why we’re celebrating this fun season as well as Mel moving into a new house on a lake here at Outnumbered 3 to 1. I have had the chance to review yet another great CD. StarRock for Kids! is easy for both adult and kids to listen to. This new CD features hit songs from past decades to today’s hottest songs. All songs are sung by kids between the ages of 5 – 17 (no kidding – look out American Idol).

We have had so much fun signing along with this CD, even though we can’t carry a tune. One of my daughter’s favorite is “L-O-V-E” (theme song in Parent Trap) as she has fallen in love with the movie Parent Trap. My favorite is the oldie but goodie from my childhood – “We Got the Beat!” I loved that song. {Note to self: look up other songs by the Gogo’s, as I can’t recall. I know they were not a one hit wonder.} My other daughter thinks the song “See You Later Alligator” is the best, yo man! She loves anything with animals!
We hosted a dance party last Friday night and had 16 girls over and played the songs from the CD and danced around. Everyone loved it! By the end of the night everyone was signing the songs and bopping along. It was great fun. I even find myself humming the songs throughout the day.
Lisa Damiani is the artist behind the StarRock for Kids! CD. Lisa started singing when she was 5 years old and even won best teen vocalist on “Star Search.” Now she is looking for Star Rock’s newest signing sensations. Each CD comes with an application to enter Star Rock Kid! and have a chance to be on the next album! You must also submit a 2 minute demo showcasing your singing and performance abilities.
Look for future StarRock for Kids from Lisa Damiani and eOne as they plan on releasing more CDs (rumor has it….two new CDs per year!)!
