Ivory has been a staple in households across the country for over 100 years! I remember that classic bar of Ivory soap in my bathtub and my grandma’s bathtub. I think that’s the only soap that my mother and grandmother ever used!
Well now Ivory is back and better than ever in nourishing body washes in three different scents. Those scents include Original, Aloe and Lavender.
Ivory sent me a gift pack full of their new body washes and some bar soap 3-packs for my review. I’ve tried all three of the body washes and they are all quite invigorating, although if I did have to choose a favorite it would be lavender! It has such a wonderful scent and leaves my skin with a slight hint of lavender.
All of these body washes are rich and creamy, with that Ivory lather that I’ve always loved. A little bit really goes a long way which is great!
Ivory recently named Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids, Mike & Molly) as their new “soap” person. She is hosting their new online social community “The Soap Dish” on Facebook.
“Ivory, one of Procter & Gamble’s (NYSE:PG) most iconic consumer brands, today announced that Emmy award-winner Melissa McCarthy will serve as the brand spokesperson and host of its new online social community, the ?Soap Dish,? where she will engage with women and dish about life’s simple truths. Today’s launch and celebrity partnership announcement are all part of the ?holistic reinvention? of the brand which kicked-off last month with the debut of modernized packaging and a new advertising campaign.”
I think she’s the perfect person for this role and look forward to interacting through “The Soap Dish”. If you haven’t seen much of her and you like down to earth, hilarious and loveable people, then she’s definitely your girl. Watch Bridesmaids and you’ll be laughing over it every time you and your girlfriends think about the movie!
Ivory also conducted a national “mom” survey and some of the findings are quite interesting. I found this one pretty funny and hope that isn’t my kid some day since I always have to “make” him shower. {Like it’s some cruel and unusual punishment, right?!}
“Forty-three percent of moms said having your kid known as the ‘smelly? kid is much worse than having your kid known as the ?potty mouth? (20 percent), the whiner (17 percent) or the ‘snob? (13 percent).”
