I’m what I like to think of sometimes as a “single” married woman. This doesn’t mean I’m out partying and picking up guys or anything in that manner. It just means, I have a husband who works those forty-plus hours a week and I find myself alone to spend a lot of holidays or anniversaries. It’s something I don’t mind because I know that Hubbers is doing what he can to better our future. So, you have to get creative so you’re not alone and sad (and let’s face it, you don’t want to get resentful!) when fun holidays are near! With Valentine’s Day in just two weeks, I suggest all my single ladies out there, whether you’re attached or not, give a ‘Ladies Valentine Night In’ a try!
Bormioli Rocco, an Italian company, has the perfect glassware to host any type of event, their attention to detail and craftsmanship are exquisite. The three items I received were pristine and looked beautiful wrapped up inside the box, I was very excited to take them out and try them out!
To start out you’re night, pick up a small floral bouquet, I suggest one carnation to each friend present, and display them in the Capitol Flower Bud Vase. It does state it’s a single flower vase, but, I have about half a dozen fake flowers in mine and it looks great! The vase stands at 6 inches high, so it will not overpower your table setting, but instead, blend seamlessly in without being over looked either. The bottom of the vase is thick and widens out significantly more than the lip. This makes it very sturdy, so you’ll not have to worry too much about tipping it over. The lip, or top of the vase, has a gentle, elegant curve to it.
The Nettuno Small Bowls come in a set of twelve and in clear (also available in blue), compliment the flower vase very nicely. At 3.8 x 6 x 1 inches and 14.4 ounces, the bowls are a decent size and weight. Made from tempered glass, they are thermal and shock resistant. The designs of the bowl were inspired by nature, think the delicate curves of a leaf and the pure color of ice. These bowls are a perfect size for fruit pieces, such as cherries, strawberries and chunks of pineapples. Place bowls of melted dark and milk chocolate in the center of your table and allow your single ladies to dip to their hearts content! Trust me, we all deserve this type of treat and we deserve it served out of beautiful bowls!
And now, to perhaps my favorite item, the Riserva Bordeaux Wine Glasses which is available in a set of six. As you can see, that wine glass is almost as tall as my bottle of wine. So, I just caution how much you either pour or how many glasses you have! Have fun, but be safe as well! For the height, these wine glasses are well balanced, easy to hold and easy to sip from. They are made from a lead free crystal and have an amazing clarity to them. Sipping from these beautiful wine glasses with good friends will help you forget all about the significant others who could have been there with you that night!
