LeapFrog, the leader in educational entertainment, is offering a way to help kids continue to build learning skills this summer through the LeapFrog Summer Camp, an 8 week free online program that offers engaging weekly themes and exciting learning activities and printables that explore geography, writing, science, art and more.
I am so excited to tell you guys about a free program that starts this Monday June 4th. LeapFrog has partnered with Shutterfly to offer you and your child a free eight week online program that offers weekly engaging and fun activities in art, geography, writing, science, and more!
A few key facts:
- Program Dates: June 4-July 29
- Age Range: 4-7 years old (although, I will be modifying for my 2.5 y/o)
- Each week offers a free, do-anywhere activity that keep learning going all summer long
Children, at any age, can lose up to one month’s of learning during the summer time. Each week, you’ll be offered a printable activity (which you can schedule to send and print to your printer at any time, pretty neat!) to help combat ‘summer brain drain’ as I like to think of it!
Week 2 is Caring for Animals – Experience animals in new ways and explore themes of responsibility and compassion.
This is such a great idea for kids! Not only does it teach them responsibilities for taking care of a pet. Sonshine already helps feed and water our dog, but this is a great way to show him all the other care the dog needs!
Week 3 Puzzle Time – Build logic and reasoning skills as you puzzle your way through brain-bending activities!
Although Sonshine is going to be young for this section, it’s great for the older kids and will help us with our a, b, c’s! My husband and I love to relax with puzzle books and this would be a great way to engage and help stretch a little mind into a future puzzle enthusiast!
Also, each week, LeapFrog will offer a deal on their books, toys, and games. And if you submit a picture of your child completing a Summer Camp activity, you could enter win a $50 prize pack! And, if you share a Shutterfly picture photo book with LeapFrog, you could enter to win a $500 LeapFrog prize pack! So, don’t forget to take a lot of pictures of your Summer Camp activities, experiences, and smiles!
