I’ve been making my own gift tags for the past couple of years. I usually just grab some paper, my favorite stamps and ink, then go to town. But I wanted to change things up this yearandthought photo gift tags would be fun – not to mention awesome because I don’t have to write any names out! These would also be perfect for families with small children who can’t read yet. The kids could just look at the photo tags and see who each gift belongs too – clever!
I started by uploading some of my favorite photos to www.cvs.com/photo??and choosing which type of prints I wanted.?They offer 4×6, 5×7 and 8×10. I grabbed a bunch of 4×6 prints and an 8×10 of my favorite shot of my 3 guys. Everything was available for same day pick up in store right along with my Holiday Photo Cards and I was excited to hear about the CVS Mobile App for printing photos on the go!
DIY Photo Gift Tags
You’ll need the following supplies to make your own Holiday Photo Tags:
- Photo prints from?www.cvs.com/photo
- Card stock in your choice of color (coordinate to wrapping paper)
- Tag label maker
- 2 inch circle punch
- double sided sticky tabs (mine were raised to give dimension)
- ribbon
- Cut out your cardstock, using the tag label maker, then punch a hole in the center. There’s no need to use the brads, unless you’d like to.
- Punch out faces from your photos using the 2 inch circle punch.
- Place 2 sticky tabs on the back of your circle photo and adhere to the cut our label.
- Tie a ribbon around it and voila – instant personalized photo gift tag!
- Optional step – use ink and a stamp to put something festive on the other side of the tag!
These DIY photo gift tags were so easy and fun to make. I think I’ll be doing this for everyone next year!
DIY photo gift tags aren’t the only thing you can make for the holidays with photo prints though. I have this cute little paper punch that I just knew would be perfect for making photo ornaments! I’ll share that project with you later this week!
