Many of you know that my family isn’t quite “traditional”. Yes, my husband and I are both the biological parents of our children but we weren’t married when they were born. In fact, it wasn’t until 2012 that we finally tied the knot. Crazy, I know! But that’s not even what makes our family unique. What makes us a blended family is the fact that my brothers and sister came to live with us about four and a half years ago, after my dad passed away. My sister moved out, got married and is planning to start her own family now, but the boys are still with us and have no plans of leaving anytime soon.
National Adoption Day is November 21!
Since the boys were close to adulthood, we didn’t go through the adoption process with them. However, adoption plays a big part in our lives because I have 4 siblings that live with other families. There is a set of twin sisters that are a little over a year older than Big Bro, a brother that’s in between both of my boys ages and another brother who is younger than Lil Man! While I would love to know them, I am at peace knowing that adoption made loving parents, a good life and happy home possible for them!
Honey Maid realizes that families have evolved over the years but that the importance of family connections, traditions and love stays the same. Just like the American family, Honey Maid has evolved over the last 90 years and to keep in line with one of my family’s favorite tradition, I thought we’d put a twist on one of our must have summertime treats. But first, watch this video to see how other families enjoy Honey Maid!
We love to have bon fires in the summertime with family and friend and Honey Maid Graham Crackers are always near the fire so that we can make S’mores. Well it’s too chilly to stand outside by a fire in Wisconsin so rather than waiting until next year to enjoy some S’mores, we?made some No Mess Snowman S’mores inside!
No Mess Snowman S’mores are super easy to make and only require 2 ingredients Honey Main Graham Crackers and chocolate covered marshmallow snowmen. Plus, you don’t even need a fire to make or enjoy them!
To make them, simply break the Honey Maid Graham Crackers into 4. Lay them out and add a?chocolate covered marshmallow snowman on top of one, then cover with another?Honey Maid Graham Cracker. Now eat and enjoy!
