I absolutely love to see my girls spend an entire afternoon hunting for buried treasure in my front yard or forcing someone to walk to plank! This pirate shirt is absolutely gorgeous (or should I say terrifying?) and easily pairs with black leggings and a skully cap. This will be my daughter’s pirate costume for pirate night on the Disney cruise we are going on next month. It is completely classic pirate!
They now have amazing colour costumes too. You get the costume and your little one gets to decorate it and make it completely unique for them. The butterfly wings are a huge hit with my oldest that can transition from a sweet bug back to a buccaneer pretty quickly.
This set includes 8 permanent, water based markers and 50 stick on gems. The wings are washable but the creation will remain as these are permanent markers.
It is reversible with a nice purple on one side and intricate design on the back side for coloring. When I let Big Sis sit down and color it she took her sweet time making it exactly the way she wanted to.
No matter what costume they put on my girls tend to play pretend with them for hours at a time. I love listening to their conversation as they pretend to be so many different things from fairies and queens to bugs and pirates. Browsing through the numerous costumes and accessories on the Great Pretenders website is actually fun and the hard part is picking out exactly which one to get. I highly suggest letting your kid make the big decision.
