Big Sis and Lil Sis are truly masters of play dress up. They have a closet dedicated solely to dress up clothes and accessories. They love to put on a costume and pretend to be someone else in a magical place for away. I see the way their eyes light up when they play using their imagination and it makes me so happy. The right dress up clothes help to spark that imagination. Great Pretenders is a family run company in Canada that sells fantastic dress up clothes and accessories to help bring out the imagination in any child.
We own several pieces from Great Pretenders and each one has held up great and they are still played with by my daughters. This time they wanted to slay a dragon and of course Great Pretenders had the perfect pieces to accomplish this.
First you take their Dragon Cape With Claws. It is a size 5/6 and it still fits my 6 year old daughter. It is super soft and super cute!
Then you take one of their many foam swords…this one is the Crusader Knight Sword. Then all you need is 2 kids to start acting out the dragon and slaying part!
My girls think this is hilarious! They even like to set up some of their princess dolls nearby to pretend they are saving them. I am so glad that Big Sis at 9 is still willing to participate in pretend play!
These would make most excellent Christmas gifts! My girls love to get dress up clothes as gifts and I like that they actually get played with all year long! Great Pretenders has a huge selection to chose from!
