“God’s Country Song” is a heartfelt movie on what it means to be a father and place your family before your ambitions. Watch as Noah rediscovers his faith, reconnects with his own father and follows God’s plan for his life.
This movie speaks to me on a personal level. My biological father signed over his rights when I was an infant. Although his future wasn’t as glamorous as Noah’s he still put himself before his daughter.
Noah learns more about his parents past and realizes why his father is so against him chasing dreams instead of protecting and supporting family. His father gave up on his dreams and put his family first. That leads to the main theme of this movie in my opinion is putting other before yourself which is how I approach life. The Bible verse that comes to mind is “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” – Proverbs 11:2 (NIV). We should not be prideful instead we should put others first.
