When you think of Step2, naturally children’s toys are the first things that come to mind. But Step2 has launched a whole new line of products for the home and patio. Their new line of products include mailboxes, planters, and patio furniture made from the same resin that they make their children’s toys from, to ensure durability and maintenance-free living.
Today, I’m sharing how to create a fairy garden with one of their new planters! The Lakewood Raised Planter Box is the perfect size, shape and height to create this simple, yet beautiful fairy garden.
The Lakewood Raised Planter Box is simple to assemble, and makes the perfect home for your fairy garden.
Featuring three removable planter trays that require less soil than traditional pots, plant care and arrangement is simplified with this planter box designed with portability in mind. Plus, our signature high-quality resin construction ensures your planter box will maintain its structure and dark cedar coloring with little to no maintenance required.
The fact that the planters are all separate is what makes the Lakewood Raised Planter Box just perfect to use for a fairy garden. Each box can be filled and decorated separately, and there is less space to fill inside the pots.
Since fairy gardens tend to be more for decoration, rather than live plants, I filled the pots half way with mulch, so that I didn’t have to use as much dirt.
Then I positioned the plants into place, and situated them where I wanted them.
I covered just the plant area with more potting soil, then filled the rest in with mulch, all the way to the top of the planter.
Next, I started adding my fairies to the garden, as well as the accessories.
I just adore how my fairy garden turned out this year with the help of the Lakewood Raised Planter Box – it’s really just what I have been looking for. You can use code OUTNUMBERED15 to save 15% off your purchase sitewide at Step2, now through the end of April.
