Ya’ll know that I am a margarita girl. I am all about the tequila cocktails, whether it’s an on the rocks margarita or a frozen margarita. My latest favorite is this delicious blackberry mint margarita.
Perfect for winter, this margarita is made with muddled fresh blackberries and mint, and Lobos 1707 Tequila, Joven, along with a few other ingredients noted in the recipe card below. You can grab a bottle at your local Woodman’s or online.
What is the best liquor to use in margaritas?
Tequila is obviously the liquor of choice for any margarita. I prefer to use a premium tequila in my margarita on the rocks as the flavor is just that much better.
Lobos 1707 Tequila, Joven is perfect to drink in a shot, and has a phenomenal taste to elevate cocktails, like this margarita rocks recipe. I love how it pairs with the mint and blackberry flavors, yet it also pairs well with cucumbers and jalapenos, along with citrus fruits and ginger. Freshly cut Blue Weber agave are among its strong notes, which is where it’s distinct flavor comes from.
How many shots of tequila are in a margarita?
Typically, margaritas contain one shot of tequila, which is 1.5 ounces.
