Summers are best spent on the lake, and your family will be in for a treat when you make plans to create your summer memories at Lake Lawn Resort on Delavan Lake.

Located in Delavan, WI for over 140 years, Lake Lawn Resort is situated along two miles of Delavan Lake’s shoreline. It’s a quick drive from Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, and Rockford.
Lake Lawn Resort offers 271 guest rooms, as well as 3 restaurants on site, and plenty of room to roam with an arcade, kids activity room, indoor pool, and more.
You’ll find plenty of room to roam outdoors, including two outdoor pools, plenty of grassy areas to play, numerous sitting areas, lakeside firepits, walking/jogging trails, tennis and basketball courts, bike rentals and so much more.
Lake Lawn Resort also offers watersports rentals and docks at the marina, and they have their own Lake Lawn Queen Boat Tour that docks right on the shores of the resort.
Lake Lawn Resort is well known for their golf course, Calladora Spa, and is also a hot wedding venue in the area. They have indoor and outdoor wedding ceremony areas, two of which are located right on the lakeshore.
There is a lot going on this summer at Lake Lawn Resort, and they are booking up fast, so now is the perfect time to reserve your stay. Summer line-up below:
- July: Weekly cruises continue, with added weekly “Kids Cruises†for the whole family. Guests will celebrate July 4th with a Luau on the Lawn. Other activities on the Lake Lawn Queen include bingo luncheons (July 11 and 25).
- August: The Lake Lawn Queen cruises throughout the month, as well as bingo luncheons (Aug. 8 and 22) and a wine dinner cruise (Aug. 18).
- September: While the weather is still warm, lakeside fun continues. Labor Day weekend (Sept. 3-6) includes cruises, family packages and a pig roast. The month wraps up with a Beer & Bourbon Dinner Cruise (Sept. 15) and a Craft Brew Open Golf Outing (Sept. 25).

We each had our own suite in the Timber Lodge, and appreciated that each building was clearly marked, so we didn’t get lost.
We each had a spacious balcony with a courtyard view, that was the perfect spot to enjoy an evening glass of wine.
Summer memories at Lake Lawn resort
The weather was a bit chilly during our visit, so we didn’t have a chance to enjoy the pools, but it was perfect for an evening bonfire with a beautiful view of the lake. While sitting at the bonfire, we ran into an elderly brother and sister, who had been coming to Lake Lawn Resort from Illinois, since they were children. The woman told us stories of their childhood adventures, reminiscing in their fond memories. This time, they were visiting with their entire families, including their children and grandchildren.
Maureen and I dined, walked, explored, had great conversation, and had an overall relaxing girls getaway that was much needed by the both of us! Since Lake Lawn Resort is under and hour away from me, my husband and I plan to book a weekend staycation this fall.
