Bathroom remodel ideas on a budget
Paint – Fresh paint and even just a change in color can really breathe life into your bathroom, and freshen things up. Once you add fresh pain, you may find that your bathroom doesn’t really need as much work to look better than you thought it might.
Re-purpose – Some things can be updated without having to be replaced. For instance, old vanities can be repainted to completely change the look or style. You would be surprised at the ways that you can save by re-purposing things. Check out Pinterest for inspirational ideas!
Purchase second hand items – You would be surprised at the things that people get rid of, that are in great condition! You can even find things that are practically new! Look around on rummage sites to see what you can find!
Ditch or limit tile – Tile is a costly material, so if you’re working with a budget, I highly recommend considering an option that isn’t tile. When installing tile, there are many other expenses including the base that you will need to lay the tile on, mortar, grout, and other things. Hiring a professional to lay tile is costly because it is a big job.
Reconsider the vanity – Sinks, vanities and counter tops are costly expenses, so think frugally if you are on a budget. Skip the double sink and a large vanity, and opt for a smaller single sink option instead. You will save a lot of money going this route.
