With my just turned 2 year old at home with me all the time I can admit to sometimes not knowing what to “play” with her. I want to keep things fresh and interesting for us both! A box of fun with instructions sent directly to my door is exactly what I am talking about when I say I need some play inspiration! Studies show that the average child spends 2 hours in front of a screen each day and most spend more time on a cell phone than engaging in activities with their parents. I ADORE this book and I enjoy reading/singing it over and over again. I had not even thought of this song in years so it was nice to be reminded of the song and the book pictures are ADORABLE. This book also comes with a music CD which we play all the time now. All 3 will get up and dance and sing when I play it.
I can’t even get a clear picture of Baby Sis dancing because she is constantly in motion when I put on the CD. She loves to throw the playsilks in the air repeatedly.
This particular kit also included a build your own drum. All 3 enjoyed decorating it and of course Baby Sis loves to “play” on her drum repeatedly.
These items have been played with several times a week over the course of several weeks. She has them on her little music shelf and she enjoys playing with them over and over. I really like that this box sends toys I probably would not have picked out on my own so this subscription box is great for her and for me. It gives us some play suggestions we can do together and I am learning more about how to incorporate music into play with songs, toys and books. Little ones certainly love to make sounds and I do believe that music is an important part of a toddler’s growth.
