I know for a fact that I spend way too much time in front of a screen and other than the baby the same can be said for my husband and two oldest daughters. Whether it is a computer, television or iPhone we are all busy with work, school or play and I know a lot of other families face the same situation at their homes. That is why I am here to suggest to all those busy families to take a step back and relax with the Buddha Board.
The Buddha Board is inspired by the idea of Zen and living in the moment. It is so simple which is what makes it so amazing. Simply paint on the surface with water using the included brush and watch your creation come to life. Minutes later as the water evaporates…it all fades away.? Your art will disappear leaving you with a clean slate and a clear mind and ready to start all over again or head off to your next task after taking a mental break from the day to day grind.
With three sizes to choose from: the Original, Enso and Mini Board there is a size for everyone in the family.
As you can see from the picture above the Enso and the Mini Board fold up for easy storage and travel.
The original features the nicest curb appeal making it ideal to set up in a play room or office. My overworked husband is a partner at a law firm and he immediately took the original to his office. He told me he now makes a point to take a few minutes out of every day to play on his Buddha Board. He has admitted he genuinely feels more relaxed as he brushes the water on the board. The girls like to play on it when they visit him at the office too!
These really are great for a wide range of ages. Lil Sis who is 7 and Big Sis who is 10 may not be stressed but they do have a busy week full of activities. They like to come home from school and enjoy a snack while playing on the Buddha Board before heading off to their sports practices.
Lil Sis is my artist so this has been especially nice for her. She will sit there playing on it as long as I let her because she loves the art she creates and she enjoys doing it over and over again.
It is a true sensory experience as you wet the brush, paint with the water and feel it glide across the board. It is one of those things that you have to try it to really understand how awesome it is. The Buddha Board would make a nice gift for someone that might need to take a personal time out every day to relax. I have found that kids love it too and this is some art I can truly get behind because it is not messy! Find your own personal zen while drawing on the Buddha board.
