It’s football season, the perfect time of year to gather with your friends and family to root for your favorite team on the big screen. I sure do love a good game, but I have to admit that my favorite part of “game day” is getting to munch on all of the tasty food! Nothing quite compares to chilling with your favorite people while munching on some tasty food and today I’m sharing a super tasty game day recipe,?Sausage Stuffed Peppers Wrapped in Bacon.
But before I get into that, I want to share a few tips to make your game day go smoothly.
While going “all out” on food and drinks can be awesome, you really don’t need to. A few snacks and a special appetizer really can do the trick. The same goes for beverages, simple is definitely okay and we like to grab a 12 pack of Dr Pepper? since it is the official drink of college football fans. In fact, Dr Pepper has been a part of college football for over?25 years. Who knew?!
Meijer is the perfect place to stock up on Dr Pepper because they have the seasonal football packaging, and they also carry the Eckrich? Smoked Sausage Skinless that I use in my?Sausage Stuffed Peppers Wrapped in Bacon?recipe. It’s easy to prepare, so that means less time in the kitchen for me, and the flavor is rich and savory.
Shopping at Meijer for our home-gating needs means that I can get everything that I need in one stop, including decor and even a new outfit if I want. I love their deals too, like this?mPerks deal?to SAVE $1 on any TWO (2) Dr Pepper? 6pk 7.5oz cans or 8pk 12oz bottles, valid through 10/27/18 or while supplies last.
Once you’ve got your game day menu planned, setting up for your party is a breeze, with just a few simple things.
- Hang a football banner behind the table.
- Arrange Dr Pepper cans in pyramids at the back.
- Set snacks out in football shaped bowls and themed paper dishes.
- Have football themed food trays and napkins on hand.
Without further ado, I present you with the?Sausage Stuffed Peppers Wrapped in Bacon recipe that you’ve been waiting for. This tasty appetizer has the perfect kick for game day festivities!
