A weekend getaway is always great and gives us a chance to have some fun, unwind, or whatever you need to just let go and relieve some stress for a bit. Maureen from Wisconsin Mommy and I recently took a quick trip to Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL and it was such fun. I’d like to shout out a huge thank you to them for hosting our stay and providing the perfect getaway that we both so desperately needed.
Now Pheasant Run Resort is a hop skip and a jump from Chicago, and close enough to Milwaukee and Madison for a quick road trip. What is especially unique and inviting about this property is that they offer so much for weekend travelers, right under one roof.
You’ll never be bored at Pheasant Run Resort!
You’ll find some of your typical amenities at Pheasant Run Resort like swimming pools, a hot tub and fitness center. What might surprise you though is the unique indoor outdoor pool. Pheasant Run Resort also offers a terrace with fire pit, fun activities like kids movies, an arcade and even zumba classes.
Golf fans will enjoy the 18-hole golf course and guests staying in a Tower Penthouse Suite will be in awe of this lovely view overlooking the golf course.
Relax and unwind
As if that’s not enough,?Pheasant Run Resort even has a spa. Spa Vargas Wellness offers a full menu of spa services to help you relax, unwind and let all of your troubles fade away, if even for a short time. My massage sure did wonders, and I highly recommend their services.
Let loose
Take a trip down Bourbon Street, without even stepping foot into New Orleans because?Pheasant Run Resort has a great replica that you will most definitely want to stroll through on your visit to St. Charles, IL.
Bourbon Street is lined with entertainment for all, like iPANiC Escape Room, Zydeco Jacks adult only Game Room as well as a couple of bars for you to grab a cocktail or mocktail. Restaurants include Bourbon Street Creamery and Jambalaya, and you’ll even find?Thieves Market Grab n’ Go Snacks. Stop by on Saturday and Sunday for a Self-Serve Fresh Popcorn Stand!
Dinner & a Show
The Dinner & a Show package will help you plan the perfect date night. Start with a 3 course dinner for two at Harvest where you will enjoy farm to fork dining, while feasting on delicious dry-aged steaks, grain-fed poultry, fresh seasonal produce and fresh seafood. Executive Chef Tiffany Tooker revamped the menu with carefully crafted dishes that you’ll surely enjoy.
After dinner, head to the Mainstage Theater or Zanie’s Comedy Club for some nightly entertainment. You can view the full line-up here. Just be prepared for some good laughs and maybe a couple ribs if you pick Zanie’s. It’s all in good fun though, so I’m sure that you will enjoy it!
Call it a night
Surely you will need some rest after the long day that you’ve had so head up to the?Tower Penthouse Suite for the night. You’ll walk into a spacious living area with an adjoining sleeping area and full size bathrooms in each. Traveling with friends? Well you can even get adjoining suites for even more room to roam. The view doesn’t get much better than this!
