Last summer was painfully slow for us as I spent half of it on bed-rest and the other half home with a preemie. We are making up for lost time this summer by have as much fun as we possibly can. We spend a lot of our time outside or off doing activities but we have been spending plenty of time inside reading and playing games as well. Perfectly themed for summer my older two girls have had a barbecue and set off a rocket inside the house with these two fun games from Goliath Games.
What I really like about several Goliath Games are that they are simple, exciting, fast-paced and easy enough that Big Sis and Lil Sis at 9 and 6 can play by themselves. A lot of my time is occupied playing with Baby Sis who is 11 months old so games that my older girls can play on their own is a must to keep them occupied.
Barbecue Party is the BBQ game that kids can play with inside the house without getting burned. Choose a card to see what food you get to put onto or take off the grill but this crazy contraption may jump, causing all the food to go flying.
The winner is the first player to get their items off the BBQ party grill before the food takes a spill. It makes a great party game for 2 or more players, ages 4 and up. My girls giggle every single time it pops. The uncertainty of when it will go off is what makes this game so fast-paced and so fun.
Pop Rocket is a new game and although you can’t get your hands on a copy of it yet I am here to show you how much fun it is. It is definitely one of my favorite Goliath Games. Give yourself plenty of space for this game as the stars really pop all over the place! Pull the fuse and watch the “flame” on the cord get closer to the rocket and then…POP!
During that one minute the fuse is lite you take turns rolling the dice and quickly placing your colored rocket bowls around the rocket. As soon as the rocket opens, a colorful shower of stars flies through the air! Catch the most stars to put in your constellation to win the game!
Cure summer boredom with a little bit of excitement from Goliath Games. These two games have been played at least a dozen times each and my girls still laugh every time they “pop.” You can get Barbecue Party now and Pop Rocket will be available this August.
