I have always loved the outdoors. I would hunt and fish as a small girl and now that I am an adult I love the outdoors more than ever and I want my family to love it too. We go camping and hiking and I am the troop leader for two Girl Scout troops and I try and plan as many outdoor activities as I can. Each month has a unique theme with products and a challenge that align with the theme. For March it is all about hiking. I love hiking because it is for all skill levels and ages as you just adjust the hike to your needs and wants.

That is the monthly price, if you purchase a 6 or 12 month set it will costs you even less per month. That means not only are you getting a value but you are gonna try out products that you might not have otherwise. Sometimes the best way to discover something new is to try it out.

The big item this month was a Mazama Designs Backflip – 2L Reservoir. I really like the easy-to-fill flip cap with push button release and a lock switch that ensures leak-free performance. My husband has actually needed a new one of these for a while now since his last one split. This one is so much nicer than any others we have used before. I like that it is taste-free so I don’t have to taste plastic when taking a sip of water.
The Tecnu Original-Poison Oak & Ivy Skin Cleanser is one of those hiking items you don’t realize you need…till you really need it! Within minutes of applying this it can remove urushiol oil allowing your skin to heal and to prevent it from spreading. You can also use this one on clothing and shoes. I have not tried it out but I now have it in our hiking bag. I have adventurous girls and even though we teach them the things they can touch and what they can’t it will be inevitable we come in contact with poison oak one day. This is one of those items it is best to have it and not need it then to not have it at all.
This box also has neat Noso Patches – Patch Dazzle Kit. Made from Nylon, this kit lets you cut your own 100% waterproof patches to fit your needs. The Skratch Labs Hydration Mix is designed to replace electrolytes lost in sweat. It can be used for pre-hydration, and during/after your hike. The perfect addition to your drink when you are working up a real sweat. The final item is an RX Bar – Whole Food Protein Bar. It is made simply and infused with all-natural ingredients. All the ingredients are listed in bold letters right on the package. A great snack to have on hand to give yourself some energy.
