A modern-day fairy tale just perfect for winter reading comes The Lost Frost Girl by Amy Wilson. About a girl who discovers that she is Jack Frost’s daughter and she quickly learns her life will never be the same.

With a name like hers, Owl never expected her life to be normal, at home or at school. But when Owl finds out that she is Jack Frost’s daughter, her world shifts beyond what she could ever imagine.
Determined to meet him, Owl delves into Jack’s wonderful world of winter and magic?the kind of place she thought only existed in fairy tales. And as she notices frost patterns appearing on her skin and her tears turning to ice, Owl starts to wonder if being Jack Frost’s daughter means that she has powers of her very own.
At once breathtaking and brimming with heart, The Lost Frost Girl is a story of family, friendship, and the magic of embracing who you are meant to be.
Amy Wilson has a background in journalism and lives in Bristol, England, with her young family. She is a graduate of the Bath Spa University MA in creative writing and has many owls in her house, from drawer handles to cushions. She is still waiting for them to speak to her. . . .
This book is listed for ages 8-12 and is a great book for girls who enjoy books about magic. Especially good for kids that like the movie Frozen. Big Sis is 9 and was able to read this one all on her own and I know she must have really gotten into the story because she took it to school with her each day and I saw her reading it in bed each night. I absolutely LOVE books about magic so it is now on my bedside reading list but I wanted to share this title with our readers now because Big Sis absolutely loved it so I know some other girls out there will too!
