Kids of all ages tend to like screen time these days. Who can really blame them, since we live in such a digital world. But you don’t have to cringe at that thought because screen time can actually be educational, and fun at the same time! Keep on reading to see how Wonster Words teaches spelling with phonics. I’ve partnered with the brand for this post, but opinions are my own.
Inspired by Sesame Street, Wonster Words is a fun, yet educational iOS & Android game that helps kids learn to sound out words. An award-winning game, Wonster Words has won numerous awards including Parent’s Choice, Children’s Technology Review Editor’s Choice, National Parenting Product Award, etc. The game is loved by kids and their parents because of the way that it teaches spelling with phonics through fun and interactive games.
In Wonster Words, your child can learn word families and phonic sounds through fun mini games. One your child has successfully added all of the letters to each word, silly animations help to illustrate the definition of that specific word for your child. What a great way to learn! Check out the mini video below and see Wonster Words in action!
Wonster World has rolled out exciting *NEW* things just for the 2017 Holiday season:
- BRAND NEW short stories
- 5 new story packs boasting over 40 new words and original animations
- 5 new letter-based minigames
There is a really neat Christmas Crisis story pack that I enjoyed playing with. After you complete each word, you get to pick a present and keep clicking on it until it opens. Who doesn’t like gifts? It really was such fun! Of course, the story included Santa and the Wonsters even helped get his sleigh unstuck!
I’m a total kid at heart and I really enjoy playing Wonster Words for its perfect combination of education and fun. Learning should be fun and they’ve paired the two perfectly. Wonster Words is free download, available or iOS, Android and Amazon. You can also upgrade to unlock more features and it is totally worth it!
