With the holiday season upon us, many of us are going to be hosting gatherings and having out of town guests. Life can get rather hectic when you throw extra people in the mix, so today I’m sharing a super easy Bacon & Cheddar Pinwheels recipe that you can make for breakfast, brunch or even as an appetizer. It’s one of those things that you? can even prep the day before to make things even easier.
These Bacon & Cheddar Pinwheels start with my husband’s favorite, Wright? Brand Bacon: hand-trimmed, hand-selected, naturally smoked. I can grab that, other groceries on my list as well as anything else that I need for the home right at Meijer. In fact, Wright? Brand Bacon products are inspiring people like you and me to think outside the box and try something new for the holidays, helping hosts like us to transform the functional dishes into something even better.
You can spend more time with your family and friends if you prep these Bacon & Cheddar pinwheels ahead of time and they’ll likely hold form a little better if refrigerated before cutting anyway. Wright? Brand Bacon products are the key ingredient to simple recipe hacks like this and your guests will never guess how easy they are to make.
Bacon & Cheddar Pinwheels
Ingredients:
- ?lb Wright? Brand Naturally Hickory Smoked Bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- crescent roll dough
Directions
Dice the bacon and cook all the way through.
Lay the crescent sheet out on a baking sheet and put in the refrigerator while the bacon is cooking.
Once the bacon is cooked, remove the grease and let cool just a bit.
Take your baking sheet with crescent sheet out of the refrigerator and sprinkle half the cheese across it. Sprinkle bacon next and then the remainder of cheese.
Now roll it all up, longways, to form a “log”, refrigerate for about 10 more minutes to allow for easier cutting.
As you can see, I didn’t do that last step so mine were kind of falling apart. You live and learn, right? Now slice them into about 1 inch pieces and place on baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Each batch makes about a dozen Bacon & Cheddar Pinwheels, so you might want to double or triple the recipe depending on how many people you’re feeding.
These Bacon & Cheddar Pinwheels are super easy to make and absolutely tasty thanks to the quality of the Wright? Brand Naturally Hickory Smoked Bacon used.
