Homemade goodies are always such a tasty treat and my family loves when I bake cookies, cupcakes and other desserts for them. But I don’t bake as often as I’d like since it can be pretty time consuming. But I’ve found something that’s a total game changer when whipping up cupcakes and today I’m sharing how to easily frost cupcakes with all of you because I’ll bet it’s going to be a game changer for you too!
The Pillsbury? Filled Pastry Bag is new to the market and people everywhere are probably asking themselves where it’s been their entire lives because it simplifies the art of cupcake making big time. It’s the Pillsbury Creamy Supreme frosting that’s we’ve always loved, now available in a pre-filled pastry bag. The star tip is built right into the bag so you can create 3 fun designs like stars, rosettes and waves. The Pastry Bag is super easy to use and pretty much mess free. I love it and will absolutely be purchasing it every time I need to frost some delicious baked goods!
The Pastry Bag is available in the baking aisle at Meijer in 3 delicious flavors including vanilla, chocolate fudge, and cream cheese so you can use it to frost pretty much any flavor cupcake or cookie you want. The pastry bag is super simple to use and even comes with directions right on the box. Simply follow these 3 steps to frost your home baked treats.
- Push the frosting toward the star tip and twist the top of the pastry bag
- If not already removed, remove the plastic over from the star tip by tearing at the perforation
- Squeeze from the top of the pastry bag to frost your cookie!
See how simple that is? It’s just awesome and has made baking easier for everyone. Lil Man even tried his hand at frosting some cupcakes and did a pretty good job.Pillsbury Filled Pastry Bag is going to be a staple in our pantry and we will be keeping every flavor on hand. Trust me, you’re going to be in awe when you try it too!
How to Easily Frost Cupcakes
The Pastry Bag will help you to create drool worthy and party ready cupcakes in no time. Simply follow the directions that I have shared above, which you’ll also find on the package. Then starting from the outer edge of the cupcake, start piping the frosting around the edge, moving towards the center a bit when you meet the frosting each time. Sprinkle some candy pearls on top and voila, you have a pretty cupcake that’s ready to display or get eaten right away!
Next time I’m going to bake some of my favorite cookies – white chocolate macadamia nut – and pipe some little stars on top. I think they’ll be super cute and absolutely delicious!
The Pastry Bag makes it super simple for the kids to help out in the kitchen too, which is awesome. Now is the perfect time to get the whole family in the kitchen for some fall baking. What a fun way to spend your weekend! You can even use it as an after school learning experience. Teach the kids some fun techniques and let them eat the treats afterward! Whatever you decide to do, just have fun with the family! What will you bake up next and which flavor Pastry Bag will you use to frost your baked goods?
I guess it has been awhile since I have done any baking but the last time I frosted cupcakes, I ripped the top right off of the cakes. I have not seen these pastry bags in the store but will now look for them as this is such a great idea.
That is something I could do.
I would definitely would love to try the cupcakes. they are on my menu later in the week. I appreciate the directions and can’t wait to use the The Pillsbury Filled Pastry Bag myself.

I definitely need to invest in a pastry bag and tips. This makes it so easy. Mine are usually frosted with a knife and don’t look near as good.
