I received The Wolf Who Fell Out of a Book for this review/feature. Opinions expressed are my own.
Of course I love reading fairy tales as most are stories we have all read and enjoy. A fun twist on the classics is reading fractured fairy tales. Those books use fairy tales you already know but there is a change up to the characters, setting, points of view and/or plots. The Wolf Who Fell Out of a Book is about a wolf who fell out of his story and is desperately trying to find a book to jump into before the cat in the room gets him!

Finding where you belong isn?t easy . . . especially when you?re a storybook wolf.
In this illustrated fractured fairy tale for kids, a book falls to the floor and a wolf tumbles out. The wolf needs to get back to his story, but a hungry cat has other ideas. Jumping from book to book, this wolf is on a journey to find a new home (and to avoid becoming dinner). His sharp, pointy teeth don?t help him fit in with the dinosaurs, and his shiny black fur doesn?t get him into the ball. But a little girl in a red hood is waiting for someone just like him to arrive.

I will start off by saying this book is ridiculously cute! There is a bookshelf in a little girl’s room and it is so full of books that one falls out and onto the floor. When that happens a wolf falls out. The girl’s cat is watching and wanting to eat the wolf so the wolf tries jumping into any book he can. The problem is a wolf doesn’t fit into those stories so he is kicked out. The wolf must find a new book soon or he will be cat food! The illustrations are so cute and really make us feel bad for this wolf who is normally very scary. Both my girls at 5 and 8 think this book is funny and they love seeing stories they already know in the books he tries to jump into. The Wolf Who Fell Out of a Book is a fractured fairy tale that does not disappoint!
