August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month and with a newborn at home this especially hits home for me. In recent years, breastfeeding has been an increasingly important topic in the news. As recently as last month, Apple announced a breastfeeding woman emojis that will be available later this year and that definitely makes me happy! Tommee Tippee plays a role in supporting breastfeeding moms by offering a number of breast feeding products that make life easier for moms.
I have been pumping because my preemie was too sleepy to latch on and eat enough breast milk. It is definitely exhausting but worth it. The Tommee Tippee Pump and Go System provides well-deserved freedom and flexibility to pump wherever and whenever, making the entire breast pumping process a little easier. By using a single pouch to pump, store, warm and feed, there’s no need to move milk at any stage and moms avoid losing any of that liquid gold!
The Complete Breast Milk Starter Set contains:
- 1 Breast Milk Warmer
- 1 Storage Case
- 1 Breast Pump Adaptor Set
- 2 Breast Milk Pouch Bottles with Slow Flow Nipples
- 20 Breast Milk Pouches
- 1 Closer to Nature 5oz Baby Bottle
- 2 extra Slow Flow Nipples
Here is the breast pump adapter kit. You use one to attach the bags to your own breast pump.
I currently use an Ameda hospital grade pump that I have rented from my local hospital and I use Medela parts. The pump is the exact fancy one you use at the hospital and the parts came with my regular pump I got from my insurance and combining them has been no problem. The smallest pump adapter works with my Medela parts.
It really does work! I pump my milk right into the bags and can put the cap right on as soon as I am done. No transferring of milk from bottle to bag for storage! One less chance to spill and every single drop is saved.
Their storage container can hold 12 bags in either the fridge or freezer.
Their bottle warmer is easy to use and even has a piece to put in so that the bag will stay upright.
Of course it is good to use with bottles too.
The final step is easily popping the bag into the bottle then attaching the adapter to the nipple and screwing it all together. Then you can feed baby without losing a drop.
That really is my personal “boob juice” (as we call it around my house) in the pictures. The Pump and Go really is so easy to use. Less transferring of milk means less chances of spillage and less bottles and containers to wash. So don’t cry over spilled breast milk again and try out the system that lets you keep the milk in one container until it enters your baby’s belly. I love using products that help with breastfeeding and pumping.
