I received Classic BabyLit Board Books for this review/feature. Opinions expressed are my own.
I just LOVE board books for babies and toddlers. The thick pages make it so they can flip through it themselves without ruining the book and even if they are literally thrown around they still look like new. Some of my all time favorites are the Classic BabyLit Board Books. These are board books based off classic literature we all know and love. Here are the two latest titles to grace Baby Sis’s book shelf.
The tiniest of scholars will enjoy learning their ABCs with a literary twist by reading Classic Lit A to Z: A BabyLit? Alphabet Primer. Each letter of the alphabet is presented to toddlers with engaging art and a famous character, place, or concept from a beloved classic work of literature. Jennifer Adams and Alison Oliver introduce babies to letters in this board book with help from Austen, Tolstoy, Dickens, Shakespeare, and other literary greats.
This A to Z book is especially awesome because for each letter of the alphabet and corresponding picture it also includes the classic work of literature it comes from. This might be my all time favorite BabyLit book!
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: A BabyLit A Colors Primer. There’s more to the story than just lions, tigers, and bears ? there are also so many colors to explore! From the wicked witch and her evil black dress, to the good witch Glinda and her bright pink socks, you?ll find all of the familiar characters of Oz decked out in brilliant technicolor!
Jennifer Adams is the author of many books including Remarkably Jane: Notable Quotations on Jane Austen and the popular Edgar the Raven series. Jennifer works as a writer and editor in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Allison Oliver runs Sugar design studio. Alison’s design portfolio includes everything from logos to packaging and product design for clients such as Chronicle Books, Citibabes, and Aerie. She lives in New York.
These books are adorable, colorful, fun to read and good through ages 5 and beyond. When my now 3rd grader was learning to read the board books were something she especially liked to pick up because of the short sentences and big words. Now she reads these books to both her little sisters! These classic BabyLit Board Books are great for every baby and toddler’s bookshelf and would make most excellent baby shower gifts!
