Stocking up on the essentials before welcoming a little one into the world sure can be stressful! Even though I plan to breastfeed this baby girl like I did with my last two I still have to get items to prepare for feedings. Babies feed about six times a day and I won’t always be right next to my baby girl with boob ready so I need to have a pump and bottles ready to go. NUK has launched two innovative products which keep the feeding process natural and just like mom.
The NUK Simply Natural Freemie Cups are to help give mom the freedom to pump anywhere, anytime, and around anyone. These cups fit discreetly and comfortably in mom’s bra and enable hands-free pumping of up to 16?oz. without having to remove her shirt. They are compatible with all leading double electric breast pumps and are especially great for moms going back to work. I went back to work after my second and pumped so I am aware how hard pumping can be. I wish I had this back when I was pumping for her because I would have used this on my drive home from work each day!
It includes everything you see in my picture above which is 2 collection cups, 1 connection kit and 4 funnels (25MM and 28MM). You of course provide your own pump and these are used with that pump. My baby has not yet arrived so of course I have not used it yet but I have gone over it. Just like with anything to do with pumping breast milk I highly suggest reading the instructions thoroughly first. In my picture below my finger is where your nipple would go.
I have thick and long nipples so mine fit best in the 28MM. The cup part attaches to hold the milk like in my picture below. Of course it is big because it is needed to be to hold the milk. I have tried it on while wearing my maternity/nursing bra and I just unhooked my nursing clips and put the cups in my bra and left my clips unhooked but that still held it tight against my breast. I can see how this would be a fabulous way to pump hands free!
