But the thing is, I love food and I want it to taste good so my husband and I are always coming up with new foods to try and recipes to make. Homemade Mac n Cheese with Bacon
And now it’s time for me to share one of my family’s favorite side dishes with y’all; Homemade Mac n Cheese with Bacon!
- 16oz elbow macaroni noodles
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 3/4 cup milk
- 16oz pasteurized processed block cheese (such as Velveeta)
- 4oz package bacon bits
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cook noodles according to package directions, drain
- In a saucepan, melt butter, then add milk, cheese and flour.
- Stir until blended to make a creamy sauce
- In a large bowl, pour cheese sauce over noodles, add bacon and stir well.
- Top with bread crumbs.
- Pour into greased casserole dish and bake for 30 minutes.
