It’s brutally cold in Wisconsin lately with below zero temperatures today and the snow has started to fall again. I definitely see some snow days in our future; days where it’s too cold to think about even venturing outdoors. I spent some time up north at my aunt’s lake house right before the holidays to help with my grandparents and I got hooked on putting together a puzzle that she keeps’sitting out for her family to put together while they’re enjoying a getaway at the lake house. It was such fun and when we went for Christmas, my family joined in. So when we came home, a new tradition was born and we started sitting by the fire, putting puzzles together as a family. One day, my husband and I even stayed up half the night because we refused to step away until the one that we were working on was finished!
Other great ways to spend a snow day inside could include hot chocolate by the fire, loaded with marshmallows. You could even create a hot chocolate bar and include all sorts of tasty mix-ins! You could also work on some craft projects or listen to music. The possibilities are endless?to keep snow days from be full of boredom.
