These days, there seems to be a “National” day for just about everything and today, January 24th just so happens to be National Compliment Day so I’ve partnered with Shari’s Berries to raise a glass and toast to someone who I admire.
This seemed like the perfect time to tell someone who has played an important role in my life, just how much she really means to me. This woman, who I will call “D” took me in as a teen when my life fell apart time after time. She showed such selflessness and was there any time I needed a shoulder to cry on?or a place to stay. I’m not sure I would have been able to get through many of the challenges that life through at me during my teenage years if it weren’t for this woman.
Shari’s Berries has these delicious new Champagne Strawberries that I thought would be a perfect treat for her coupled with some dipped cookies. For me, I chose the Champagne Strawberries and Cheesecake Trio and I’ve got to say, they were pretty darn tasty – amazing actually!
As we walk through life, there will be many people that grace our path along the way, helping to make our lives bright. Today, on National Compliment Day, take a few minutes out to tell someone how much they’ve blessed your life and pay them a kind compliment. We all need a little more love in our lives and today is the perfect day to express it!
