My children love to create. Every Christmas we find or come up with an idea to make gifts to give to family and friends.?I try to come up with ideas that are creative enough to please them, but yet simple enough so that they can do it on their own. Some time back I was using recyclable K-cups and saved them after I used them. Naturally I had?no idea what I was gonna to do with these cups, but I can say they turned out adorable! What child wouldn’t want a Snowman Hat Ornament on their Christmas Tree?
Materials:
K-cups
K-cup lids
Black spray paint
Duck Tape
Scissors
Foam Christmas stickers
Ornament hangers
Step 1:
First spray paint your recyclable K-cups and lids. Depending on the coating on your K-cups it may take a couple of coats?to cover your cups completely. If you have black reusable K-cups you get to skip this step. ?Unfortunately mine were white, and had some kind of strange coating on them that made it difficult to achieve this color of black.
Step 2:
Once your K-cups and lids are dry put the lids on tight and begin taping your sash onto your hat. I chose a fun zebra print and used the 1/2′ Duck Tape. I still had to cut it in half to make it look right. ?The area above the brim was indented so I had to raise my sash to look centered otherwise it bubbled up.
Step 3:
Finally all you have to do is put on your foam Christmas sticker and ornament hanger. If you choose you may skip this step, but I have an abundance of foam Christmas stickers so I wanted to add a little flare?to them. ?Now it is ready to hang from your Christmas tree.
Merry Christmas from Outnumbered 3 to 1!!!
