?I was provided with a vehicle for a week in exchange for this Toyota Highlander Hybrid Review. All opinions are my own.
I’m sure you’ve heard all the rage about hybrid vehicles lately and I’ve been quite intrigued too since I attended the Detroit and Mailwaukee auto shows earlier this year. I was really excited for the chance to check one out and the?Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited?did not disappoint.
An efficient 3.5-liter V6 and an electric motor combine to complete the Hybrid Synergy Drive? system in the Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited, which produces 280 hybrid system net horsepower. The intelligent monitoring lets you know when the Highlander Hybrid is using its gasoline engine, electric motor or a combination of both. ECO Mode helps with fuel economy and EV Mode is great for driving at low speeds in parking lots.
The?Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited is not only friendly on your budget with its estimated 27 city and 28 highway mpg, it carries a low emission rating to help keep our trees green and skies blue.
Aside from all of those wonderful features, the?Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited is quite appealing aesthetically too. It’s an all around “pretty” vehicle inside and out. I just love the leather interior and heated seats are definitely a huge bonus, especially in cold climates like mine.
Since my boys are taller than I am now, they definitely appreciated the roomy back seat with captain’s chairs, providing them with all of the leg room they need. Heated second-row captain’s chairs are available with the Platinum Package too.
The?Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited has plenty of room to cart around their friends too thanks to the third-row seats, which recline for extra comfort.
When that third row seat isn’t needed, simply lower the seats and gain a ton of extra storage space which is perfect for a road trip or a big grocery shopping trip.
As a driver, the?Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited is great because it has a conversation mirror so that you can quickly glance at those in the backseat. It’s easy and comfortable to drive in, even for long periods of time. With the smart dash and steering wheel buttons, everything you need is literally right at your fingertips.
I don’t personally need these features but I know quite a few people who would or should appreciate the Lane Departure Alert, available Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA). The Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited is equipped with a standard backup camera which many will appreciate too!
To say that I was impressed with the?Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited is an understatement. There was nothing that I didn’t love about this vehicle and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new crossover vehicle. Toyota Highlander Hybrid vehicles are available in the following models and starting price points:
- LE $30,490
- LE Plus $34,395
- XLE $37,315
- Limited $40,915
- Hybrid Limited $47,870
