I?ve partnered with Amazon Studios to share these Bookaboo party ideas with you. All opinions are my own.
Ladies and gentlemen, there’s a new series set to premiere October 28 on Prime Video in the US and UK and your kiddos are going to LOVE it! Bookaboo is a new Amazon Original Kids Series that celebrates families reading together. Puppetry, live action and CGI animation combines in this adorable series that?features a different celebrity guest appearing in each episode that goes backstage to share a story with world-famous drummer puppy, Bookaboo.
Bookaboo Party Ideas
Decorations
Keep it simple with the decor. After all, they are little kids and the decor will likely be destroyed by the time the party is over. We used a strand of paper flower poms across the table, then decorated it with musical instruments, goodies bags, party food and supplies for our activity.
Food
Keep that simple too, with light snacks like cheese puffs, cookies and juice pouches.?Since the parents came for this party too, I did a taco bar as well.
Party Favors
I like to include things in little goodie bags that the kids will actually use. Ours had stickers, bubbles, some fun dough, a necklace, ring and a few pieces of candy. The kids loved it!
Activities
Kids will be kids and their attention spans aren’t always there, especially when a lot of kids are around. Keep it simple and easy for them to jump from one thing to the next without putting a damper on the party.
Start with Bookaboo. Put Bookaboo on for them to watch and keep it going?through the party. They may not all watch at once, but trust me, you’ll catch each of them stop what they’re doing to tune in for at least a few minutes.
Musical instruments are a great activity. The kids can make some noise?and let out some energy.
Perhaps they’ll even form a marching band and march circles around the table – how fun!
Crafts are always fun so I provided foam hearts and foam musical instrument stickers to decorate them with. They made great table decor too!
The kids really enjoyed decorating the hearts. Each of the kids made a couple of different ones.
As you can see from the photos, each of the kids paused from whatever they were doing to tune in to Bookaboo throughout the party.
It felt like the perfect mix of activity time and free play by having all of the activities available throughout the party.
The kids had a blast, never got bored and are now big fans of the show. My aunt already marked her calendar for October 28th so that my niece can start streaming Bookaboo.
