I am super excited to announce the launch of two new titles from the partnership with PBS KIDS and Downtown Bookworks. Both?kits come with a colorful, engaging 64-page book, a portable list of common insects or birds that kids can take on their nature walk, an activity poster that encourages observation and creativity and a special tool for discovery.

PBS KIDS Look and Learn Birds comes packed with everything a young birder needs to get started, including child-size binoculars. Maybe now even dear old Mom here can identify the birds around the yard.

PBS KIDS Look and Learn Insects?comes with a magnifier jar so kids can look at nature and tiny critters up close. Now my girls want to identify all the creepy crawlies in the yard. Awesome for learning but less awesome for me because I am not really a bug person.

To celebrate the launch of these awesome kits they have created some fun, FREE puzzles and activities for you to enjoy.
PBS Kids is the number one educational media brand for kids and Downtown Bookworks strives to spark kids’ imaginations and encourage curiosity so this is a perfect partnership. I really like the kits but better yet my girls LOVE them. Listed for ages 4+ my 4 and 7 year old enjoy them immensely.
My girls love bugs and each of them have a bird feeder out their window that gets lots of birds on them so these are exactly the type of things they love! They are educational yet fun and bring my children into the yard to look at the birds and insects that are around them on a daily basis.
