Big Sis is 7 and still deeply in love with non-fiction books. She especially loves reading about animals both big and small. Grizzly Bears of Alaska: Explore the Wild World of Bears by Debbie S. Miller and photography by Patrick J. Endres is truly a stunning book that is a pleasure for both kids and adults to read.

This nonfiction children’s picture book about Alaska’s grizzly bears describes bears, cubs, habitat, hibernation, diet, and how far they will roam. Maybe it has to do with the fact that there are dozens of shows about Alaska on television but it does hold a mystical place in my heart. It looks so amazing and almost like another world. In this book kids can learn facts about bears and if you are like me even the adults will learn a few things. Grizzly Bears of Alaska: Explore the Wild World of Bears is a great book with awesome photography and full of great information that makes this a great addition to any child’s bookshelf.
