Today I’m sharing 2 Ways to Fold Towels Neatly. This post was sponsored by NEW! Tide purclean as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central.
With a family the size of mine, our washing machine is constantly running. I swear, we wash at least a dozen loads each week, 4-5 just of towels alone!?It’s just a never ending battle, so we’ve been trying to be more environmentally friendly in our laundry routine.
Since I have a husband with allergies to many detergents as well as a family full of boys who get dirty, I’m sure that you can imagine there aren’t that many good options available. Luckily for me, my favorite detergent brand, Tide has launched Tide purclean, which is 65%?bio-based, yet still has the trusted cleaning power of Tide that’s tough on these boys’ stains.
Tide purclean?has a wonderful honey lavender scent and is made at a manufacturing site that has zero waste to landfill. The USDA BioPreferred Program has certified Tide purclean and 100% renewable electricity is used to make the formula. It’s available for purchase at Target with 2 great savings; a $1 off neck-hanger coupon (which my store ran out of) and a 5% off Cartwheel offer that is valid through 7/30.
I stopped by Target last week to grab a few things like a new paid of summer shorts and unmentionables. It’s one of my favorite stores to shop for clothing and intimate apparel because they’ve got such cute stuff at great prices! Of course, I had to stop by?the laundry aisle to grab a bottle of Tide purclean on my way out.
I’ve quickly fallen in love with Tide purclean due in part to it’s very pleasant fresh scent, the fact that it’s more environmentally friendly than many other detergents and because it does a great job cleaning our clothes.
I’m a really busy mom, especially now that summer vacation is in full swing and I’m trying to balance my work schedule, summer school carpool, household chores and everything in between. Thankfully, my boys are a big help?to me and do a lot of chores around the house, including laundry! Well the one thing they’ve been struggling?with is how to fold?towels neatly. With our limited closet space, the way the towels are folded is something that I am very particular with, so I sat down and showed them how to fold towels last week.?I know other people struggle with folding towels too, so I thought I’d share?2 ways to fold towels neatly!
2 Ways to Fold Towels Neatly
- Basic Fold
This is how many people fold their towels and the way that you’ll find towels folded in most stores. It’s really simple to do actually. Just fold the towel in half, half again and half again. The key is making sure the corners meet when you’re folding. After a bit of practice, it’s easy to master and it’ll take just a few minutes to fold and entire load of towels.
2. Tri-fold
This is my preferred method of towel folding because of our limited closet space and it just looks a little neater to me. You’ll start the same in the first basic fold option and fold the towel in half, then half again. Next you’ll fold it into 1/3, then 1/3 again.
Folding towels neatly has never been a goal of mine. I live alone and have plenty of closet space and not that many towels.
This is a really great way to fold towels because it saves room. I like the Tide laundry detergent. It is so gentle and I know what you mean about having to do laundry all the time!
My linen closets aren’t deep so I have to do the tri-fold way.
I love Tide. Can’t wait to try their new PurClean detergent. We have limited space for towels and linen, so we do the trifold. Makes it easier to fit towels in the small cabinets.
Nice. Both ways of folding look great. I’m continually surprised at how many adults don’t really know how to fold things.
I am going to try the second method of folding you mentioned. I have been rolling ours for a while trying to make them fit in a small area.
I’m constantly harping on my kids to actually fold the towels instead of stuff them in the closet. Thanks for the tips for how to fold towels!
Different towels get folded differently depending on where they get stored. Crazy, right? Either way, I want them to be clean & smell nice. Sounds like Tide Pur Clean is perfect for that.
The trifold works perfectly in our linen closet! I’m so particular about folding my towels that if hubby does get laundry out of the dryer [rare!], I usually re-fold to get them perfect!
