It’s almost time for the kids to start heading back to school and?time for mom to decide what to send with them?for lunch. Sure you can pack the same old boring sandwich and snacks, but where’s the fun in that? You’re right, there is none! I’m a big fan of bento box?lunches but now that my kids are both in high school, I can’t get away with the cutsie little stuff you normally see in them. But thanks to my partnership?with Crunchmaster, I came up with a bento box that is sure to please those older kiddos. Keep on reading to see what’sinsidemy teen bento box!
Just because the kids are older, doesn’t mean that a bento box can’t be fun. You can still use shapes but keep them more simple like stars, circles and flowers. There’s no need to create cute little animals or anything too extravagant. I like to keep things simple, yet well balanced for my boys’ lunches so I include fruits and veggies?that they enjoy.
Here’s the list of items that I loaded?in the?teen bento box:
- Carrot sticks (baby carrots fit perfectly in our bento box)
- Watermelon, cut out with a small flower shapes cookie cutter, 1 inch thick
- Salami and Provolone cheese, cut in half and skewered with a toothpick
- Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers – Original
Lil Man really enjoyed his special teen bento box and came up with some of his own creative ideas to include in our bento box lunches when it’s time to head back to school. One of his requests was?Crunchmaster Multi-Grain Crackers – Roasted Garlic, a cream cheese spread, some cucumbers and strawberries. Sounds tasty to me!
Crunchmaster has a wide variety of crackers, crisps and chips that would be a perfect inclusion in a bento box for your child’s lunch. Their crackers are made right here in the US with high quality ingredients and I know many parents will appreciate that their snacks are gluten free!
While Crunchmaster crackers are perfect for bento boxes and delicious when loaded with toppings, I personally like to eat the Multi-Grain Crackers – White Cheddar straight out of the bag! They’re super tasty and at only 120 calories per 15 cracker serving, they’re pretty much?guilt free!
