When I was little I had a small worry about monsters under my bed. I would run and jump in my bed so my feet would not be near the bottom to be grabbed. Since becoming a parent I have learned this fear is actually pretty common. Go To Sleep, Monster! written and illustrated by Kevin Cornell puts a funny twist on the monster-under-the-bed worry and turns it into a picture book story that kids will want you to read over and over again.
Getting George to sleep is a nightmare.
But getting a monster to sleep? That’s an adventure.
It is time for bed but the monster under the bed is keeping the young boy from sleep. The problem is that the monster is scared of the monster underneath him! The story goes deeper and deeper as we see the monsters come to life in super cute illustrations and a story that will put a smile on anyone’s face. This book was literally written for bed time. For kid ages 4-8 this book will provide a great read right before bed, which happens to be my favorite time to read to my girls. Put any fears of monsters to bed with this book!
