Now that my girls are getting older I feel like I am getting wiser. I have learned that I should try and get them toys and games that are educational but ones they would actually want to use and play with of course. The Watch-It-Grow Window Greenhouse lets your children watch life science in action?with greenhouses that give kids a clear view! Each 8 1/4″, watertight greenhouse has a velcro closure in back, plus a suction cup that attaches to any window. Kids just fill the greenhouses with a wet paper towel or growing crystals, add seeds?and watch them sprout!
Here is Lil Sis’s greenhouse with the growing crystals (sold separately). Follow the directions on the growing crystals because they swell up so you only need a little bit for each one. For the instructions on the greenhouse it says you can use a wet paper towel or I don’t see what is wrong with using a little soil either. The greenhouse comes with 5 double-sided, removable name strips making this a fabulous product for any teacher so they can be re-used again and again.
My girls think these greenhouses are the coolest! They spring up out of bed each morning to open their curtains to see if there is any more growth on their lima beans. My oldest is especially interested in science and already has great plans for her next growing experiments. She wants to use different soils, different seeds and different lighting. I love seeing her enthusiasm!

The kit comes with detailed instructions so no need to worry about having to figure it out on your own. I will post a follow up post in a few weeks once we have some actual butterflies so you can see how it worked out.
