April is Autism Awareness Month and according the CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network about 1 in 68 children has been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).? Autism can make normal daily activities challenging and stressful for children and their parents. Some products out there can help provide solutions to common challenges and enhance the lives families living with autism.

Bath time freak outs are common in autistic and sensory children but?SoapSox can help! Originally developed to ease bath time fears for children of trauma, SoapSox allows kids to take a cuddly, comforting plush friend into the tub with them.?
A soap pocket transforms lovable SoapSox into sudsy wash cloth ? just add soap into the mouth and scrub. You can put bar soap or liquid soap into the mouth and it easily gets suds going. I only use liquid soap but it works really great and includes finger pockets that helps you keep a grip on it. It also has one of my all time favorite features…machine washable. My kids think this is the coolest thing to happen to bath time since the rubber ducky.
Available characters include: Taylor the Turtle, Hunter the Gator, Emma the Duck, Tank the Shark, Harper the Hippo, Jackson the Whale, Ava the Dolphin, Ray the Manta, Scorch the Dragon, and NEW characters: Charlotte the Seal, Bella the Ladybug, and William the Frog. For ages birth+. I am not sure how but these things are even cuter in person!
For some kids, including lots of children with Autism, bath time can truly be terriblebut a cuddly plush toy might help! Available at Learning Express Toys, Nordstrom, Bed Bath & Beyond and online at?www.SoapSoxKids.com
