Swatch: The Girl Who Loved Color by Julia Denos is a bright and colorful picture book for kids ages 4 to 8 that celebrates the beauty and color around each of us.
In a place where color ran wild, there lived a girl who was wilder still. Her name was Swatch, and color was her passion.
From brave green to in-between gray to rumble-tumble pink . . . Swatch wanted to collect them all. But colors don’t always like to be tamed. . . .
This is an exuberant celebration of all the beauty and color that make up our lives.

The illustrations are so bright and vivid that they truly do go along with this story of a wild color tamer named Swatch. Swatch starts catching and collecting all the wonderful colors and placing them in jars in her room and they are each so beautiful. She finally has the chance to catch Yellowest Yellow but Yellowest Yellow speaks back and does not want to live in a jar. Colors are meant to be enjoyed in the wild! A creative story for all the little minds out there that are full of their own creativity ready to come out.
